The Chef Ambassador Program is a free initiative designed to inspire secondary school students across Western Australia to explore exciting career opportunities in the hospitality industry. Delivered in partnership with Tourism WA, this program connects students with a professional Chef Ambassador who brings real-world industry experience straight into the classroom.

A Free Experience for Secondary Schools

We proudly offer this program at no cost to secondary schools, making it accessible for students from all backgrounds. Our goal is to showcase the diverse, creative, and rewarding pathways available within the hospitality and tourism sectors.

What The Program Offers

Our Chef Ambassador delivers engaging, hands-on sessions that bring the culinary world to life through:

Interactive School Visits led by the Chef Ambassador Engaging, face-to-face sessions designed to captivate and inspire students.
Live Cooking Demonstrations Watch professional techniques in action and discover the creativity behind great food.
Career Insights into the Hospitality Industry Learn about real career journeys, industry opportunities, and what it takes to succeed.
Q&A Sessions with Real Industry Professionals Students can ask questions and gain honest, practical advice from someone in the field.
Pathway Guidance for Future Chefs Clear information on training, apprenticeships, and steps to enter the industry.

Unleashing an apprentice or trainee into a vibrant, on-the-job learning environment, gaining them valuable industry experience and a chance to hone their culinary skillset, is a valuable investment for any business.

Apprenticeships are a ‘win-win’ in hospitality. For a relatively small investment, employers are able to equip themselves not only with a skilled employee, but also obtain a source of new ideas and lower labour turnover.

All apprenticeships and traineeships can be undertaken on a fulltime basis and most can be part-time.
